INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE BOARD MEMBERS


We seek individuals for the Backstage Rialto Board who have a genuine interest in our organization and mission and seek to use their experience, time and expertise to support the group and the Rialto Theater.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS
 

  • Click above to access the Board Application.

  • Your completed form will be sent to Board for review. After receiving approval from at least one half of the existing Board, the applicant will be invited to an interview. The interview team will report back to the entire board with their motion to accept the applicant or not.  The Board will then vote to accept the applicant at their next regularly scheduled meeting.

  • If the applicant is voted in, the applicant will be informed and invited to the next scheduled board meeting.

  • If at any point the applicant is not accepted or does not advance to the next step, the individual will receive a follow up letter thanking them for their interest and letting them know the Board will not be moving forward with their application.
     

EXPECTATIONS
 

  • Board members are expected to attend monthly Board meetings held on the last Thursday of every month from 12pm-1pm as well as all Backstage Rialto fundraising events. There will also be opportunities to join subcommittees, which meet to discuss and plan each event. 

  • There is an expectation that all Backstage Rialto Board members contribute financially in some manner to the organization. We ask that you give at a level you can be proud of, whether that be: becoming a regular theater patron, using your network and influence to bring in fundraising dollars, or making a monetary donation to Backstage Rialto.
